Privacy Policy

Sapphire is a tool for live church services. It is built to keep your service data on your machine. This page explains exactly what leaves it, and what never does.

What we collect

Three narrow things, each with a clear purpose:

  • Anonymous diagnostics. A random install ID (a UUID generated on first launch), the app version, your operating system and CPU architecture, and which features a listening session used — for example NDI output, OSC control, or voice narration (TTS). This is coarse, machine-level telemetry with no personal identity attached.
  • Optional session-transcript sharing. If you leave the transcript-sharing toggle on, a completed session may upload the sermon transcript, the scripture references detected in it, and your anonymous install ID. No audio is ever included.
  • The download form. When you download Sapphire from our site, we collect the name, email, location, church, designation, referral source (how you heard about us), and phone number you enter.

What we don't collect

  • No audio is ever stored or transmitted. Transcription happens on your machine (or through a brokered cloud service you choose), and the audio itself is discarded.
  • No accounts, no passwords, no sign-in.
  • No per-user identity beyond a random install UUID. We cannot tie a diagnostic ping back to a person.

How we use it

  • Anonymous diagnostics and shared transcripts improve scripture-extraction accuracy and power fleet-health dashboards so we can see where the software is failing and fix it.
  • The download form is used for launch and support contact — letting you know about updates and reaching out if you need help.

Your controls

  • Both data-sharing toggles live in Settings → Privacy inside the app. They are on by default and can be switched off at any time — the change takes effect immediately.
  • Want your data removed? Email us and we will delete it.

Third parties

We keep processors to a minimum. The ones that may handle your data:

  • Supabase — stores the anonymous telemetry, shared transcripts, and download-form entries.
  • Brokered cloud services (Deepgram, OpenRouter) — used only when you opt into cloud transcription or AI features. Audio or text is sent for processing and not retained by us.
